Convenient access to a broad network of interstate and other highways, Piedmont Triad International Airport, rail services, deep water ports, the new FedEx Mid-Atlantic Hub, and the new FedEx Ground facility under construction gives High Point USA the advantage as a regional and national transportation hub.

High Point's Piedmont Triad region is one of only 13 metropolitan areas with 4 interstate highways. Interstate highways in High Point include:

      I-40 from Barstow, CA to Wilmington, NC
      I-85 from Montgomery AL, to Petersburg, VA
      I-73 from Detroit, MI to Charleston, SC (currently under construction )
      I-74 from Davenport, IA to Myrtle Beach, SC (currently under construction )

Piedmont Triad International Airport, has 69 non-stop passenger flights per day and a multi-model air cargo facility with virtually all major trucking lines operating terminals near the airport.

Regional and continental rail freight services are provided by Norfolk Southern and CSX. Passenger rail service by Amtrak provides daily service to Charlotte and Raleigh, NC, and New York, NY.

The NC State Ports Authority operates an inland terminal just outside High Point's city limits. Containers are transported to deep water ports in Wilmington and Morehead City, NC. Ports in Charleston, SC; Savannah, GA; and Norfolk, VA; also serve the area.
